Vegas, Baby!

.
Last month, I went to WPPI (Wedding + Portrait Photographers International), where thousands upon thousands of photographers, vendors, suppliers, camera-loving public came out to learn, meet, greet, party, network, explore and be merry. :) It. Was. Insanity. The most ironic thing is that in spite of all of the camera equipment, camera chatter and camera workshops, my friends and I failed to take as many photos as we should have. In fact, it wasn’t until the 2nd to last day we were in Las Vegas that we decided to go on a walkabout and explore Vegas. We walked around “old” Vegas, hopped in two cabs and drove out to the red rocks, and then shot each other in the cold, cold Vegas winter. I was super duper excited to take my Contax 645 out for a spin, but was super duper disappointed when I realised I only brought one battery pack with me, which died within minutes. (Sad face.) Luckily, I brought my trusty digital camera with me, which happy took over for Dead Contax. These are the few images I took that day, featuring: Todd + Alyda McGaw, Haley Richardson, Samm Blake, Dan O’Day, Marcus Bell and Kelly-Tunney-In-Spirit (she had left us the day before, so missed out on the photo jaunt… but was muchly missed nevertheless!).

[Oh and PS: I was awarded two Accolades of Excellence for my portraits! VERY stoked + proud!]
