At last I’m getting over this dreaded cold! At last I am blogging this very gorgeous (and very patient) family session! At last I am headed to Adelaide, South Australia for my brother in law’s wedding! At last the APPAs (Australian Professional Photography Awards) are taking place next weekend in Melbourne and I get to hang with friends new and old!! At last at last at last.
It has seriously been one of those weeks, hence the lack of blog posts and in lieu of said blog posts, lots and lots of sleep. :) But in spite of the sickies, there’s been so much fervor and excitement in the Pobke household: weddings to prepare for, client orders to fulfill, awards prints to put together (which I’ll blog later this week!!), a new slow cooker to enjoy (which we luuurve to bits and pieces! Please send us your fave slow cooker recipes – we would so appreciate it!), new iPhone games to become addicted to (you MUST check out Angry Birds …it’s seriously ridiculously awesome. I dare you to try); a dream house to put an offer on (have yet to hear back but when we do, you can bet I’ll be posting all the sweet, sweet details!). See? Big week filled with many things that require lots and lots of crossed fingers and toes and eyes. :)

Anyway, because of this week (but mainly because of my cold), this very beautiful, very loving, very awesome family of five have been forced to await their preview. Which I’ve been dying to blog! They’re beautiful, right? Yeah, I know. But really, how can the children not be when mom and dad met on such romantical circumstances?? (Trust me, it was very swoon-worthy.) And might I add how original + awesome the names are? Gaius. Avalon. Trinity. Yup, there can’t possibly be cooler parents out there!! (My parents understand my sensitivity to “uncool” names… my name was so uncool I got to pick and change my own name when I was five. And then I changed it again when I was seven. To what it is today: Christine! Perhaps one day I shall reveal what I could have been called!)
Moira + John: Thank you for being such wonderful parents and beautiful people. I had such a blast with you all, the highlight being when Avalon picked up mud from the side of the road, only to learn seconds later it was cow poo. To which she responded by simply dusting her hands off and dropping the poo back on the road. Best. Moment. Ever. :) xoxo
And this has got to be one of my favourite shots of all time… Love how very “Australian” it looks! :)
