I’d like to think that if I am lucky enough to become a mother someday, I’d have endless amounts of patience and understanding. When my future son chucks his food on me and the wall: patience. When my future daughter throws a tantrum at a classy department store: understanding. A neverending amount of love.
However, I wasn’t born of the ‘patient’ variety… I’m more of a “pleeeease do it my way or else” kinda gal. (Oh boy, you should’ve seen me at my wedding… I’m embarrassed to admit my inner Bridezilla totally came out. To this day, I still thank Clinton for marrying me in spite of said Bridezilla ways.) Andrea, this beautiful young mother of three handsome boys, is built completely full of neverending love and patience. Having three boys with her equally amazing husband Matt is bound to be a handful. And these three adorable brothers are boys to their core: they love video games, footy, showing me tricks, throwing rocks in the river, touching dirt, rolling around, wrestling, you name it they love it. And while any other mother might hiss after her boys for being “boys,” Andrea smiled on lovingly at her sons. Instead of just grinning when eldest son Billy made a joke, she really really laughed – one of those laughs that come from your gut. When middle son Jack threw rocks in the river with such joy and accuracy, she clapped and cheered him on. And when youngest son Henry wobbled towards her (he only just took his first steps not too long ago), she smiled from ear to ear as if it was the first time he had ever done it.
Endless amounts of love + patience + adoration. That’s the kinda mom I wanna be when I grow up.
Matt + Andrea, thanks so much for letting me hang with you and your beautiful family. I just adored watching you two play with your sons… it’s a gorgeous sight to see and I hope I was able to capture even just a fraction of that love. I hope you love these photos as much as I loved spending time with you all! Your gallery info will be up very very shortly! xoxo
