A few months ago, I had the pleasure of accompanying my good pal Dan O’Day at one of his weddings. It’s always a treat to shoot with Dan: we save up jokes from the week and replay them to each other as if it was the first time we had heard it. And then we fall over laughing as if it was the funniest thing we had ever heard. (Okay fine – I fall over laughing. And on occasion, I may have snorted.)

Anyway. So back to this flippin’ awesome wedding: Alicia + Stu. The house they were getting ready at was totally drool-worthy: all built by Alicia’s pops. Her dress? Also drool-worthy. If they let me, I so would have tried it on. (Let’s face it: if no one was looking and busy doing something else, I would’ve tried it on anyway.) The whole entire family was in celebration-mode, as they should be. Big smiles. Lots of hugs. A few tears. Toasts. A sea of love filled the house and made everything sparkle and shine. And I got to be a part of it.

Check out the awesomeness. And yes, at the end, Alicia is playing some cricket. Who doesn’t on their wedding day? Shoot, if I looked that good playing cricket, I’d play all the live long day. True story.
