I met Jessie my freshman year (and her sophomore year) at Whitman College, in quaint little Walla Walla, Washington. From the minute I met her, I knew I wanted to be her friend: she just exuded kindness and warmth, and I’m pretty sure she invented “smizing” (that’s “smiling-with-her-eyes”). :) (Everyone who knows Jess knows exactly what I mean.)
Fast forward nearly ten years, and I found myself responding to her cheerful email asking me to photograph her wedding to fellow Whittie Adam. To say that it was a pretty special celebration doesn’t really begin to sum it up… There were poems recited, long lost friends to hug, and it was in one of the most beautiful surroundings the Pacific Northwest has to offer.
Jessie and Adam, congratulations again to you both! I’m so happy for you and your families, and so thrilled that I got to document your most perfect day. Sending you both so many hugs from Australia! :) xoxo
[PS Fellow Whitties and my Theta gals (and TomKats!): it was SOOOO good to see you all!!! Big big hugs!! And PPS Big thanks to my lovely 2nd shooter extraordinaire, Emily Wenzel for all your hard work! Was wonderful working with you! xoxo]
