“It’ll clear up… I’m POSITIVE it will clear up!”
I think I said this to myself at least 87 times on the way to Kun and Eamon’s wedding yesterday in Dalwood, New South Wales. And then I’m pretty certain I said it out loud at least 100 times to my wonderful second shooter, El Hogan. It rained and poured and rained some more. But lucky for me, I have the world’s most easy-going brides + grooms. And when the rain fell, Kun traded her beautiful heels for some comfy (and dry) gum boots, courtesy of the lovely hosts at Deux Belettes. And when it rained even harder and I looked disappointed that I couldn’t get a shot of them under some gorgeous trees, Eamon said, “Let’s get rid of these umbrellas!” and let me photograph them. Getting wet and all!
Needless to say, this gives you some idea as to the type of couple Kun + Eamon are: relaxed, fun-loving, totally accommodating. The whole venue and decor and food and details were exquisite, and my heart did at least a few somersaults and backflips upon driving up to the place. Seriously magical.
Kun + Eamon: thank you thank you thank you. Your hospitality and generous hearts made me + El feel right at home. Hope these give you a smile on your first full day as Husband and Wife. Big hugs to you both.
[Special thanks to the kind hosts Sharon and Sven at Deux Belettes, Simon Ruffell at Eat Drink Catering, (who made us yummy treats), and my awesome wing woman, El Hogan - a legend and wonderful friend.]
[PS My first NIKON wedding!!!] :)
