Mentoring

I'm so happy to have launched one-on-one Mentor Sessions With Christine; a full day workshop where we eat, shoot, learn, converse, edit, organise, and photographsise! Designed for photographers who are just starting out, our day covers everything from building a brand, developing methods to start your business, learning how to photograph children + families or couples, challenging yourself to tap into your inner creativity, grasping a better understanding of Photoshop and Lightroom, and mastering your workflow!

We'll start the day off at my home studio, spend the afternoon in a field of loveliness where there will be a gorgeous family or couple modelling for us! We conclude our day going over post-processing, and an hour's worth of Q+A. All you'll need is your camera + computer! Stationary + brunch + snacks + afternoon tea are all taken care of!

These one-on-one mentor sessions are $1695 for the day, which includes all of the above, as well as headshots for you and your business site (everyone needs a good headshot!). I also offer a follow up post-mentor session consultation for all the questions you think of after the day.

Workshops

I'm so excited to have launched POBKE MAGIC, my first business + shooting workshop series!

Pobke Magic is a comprehensive and intimate (capped at 10) two day workshop aimed at photographers seeking to develop their existing portrait + wedding photography businesses. It’s a workshop that provides an overview of the craft and the business of photography, from the fundamentals of shooting + interacting with your clients, to pricing, marketing + growing your business.

On day one, we’ll cover business topics such as:

- The importance of marketing + brand management and how to make social media work for you
- Pricing psychology (with examples from my own collections)
- Client expectations and a run through from the shoot to the sale
- Being productive and making the best use of your time
- Balancing family and work and you

On day two, we’ll be photographing two sets of models (one couple + one family) so you not only see the way I shoot and interact with clients, but also practice some of these techniques for your portfolio. After each shoot, we’ll go over workflow and process all the images shot that morning in Lightroom and Photoshop (to illustrate exactly how I edit and work!). There will be a no holds barred Q+A to go over all of your questions to finish off the day.

Workshops are a beautiful way of exploring all areas of your business, and it will, no doubt, instigate a number of questions when you get home. For this reason, following the Pobke Magic workshop, you’ll be entitled to a 30 minute one-on-one follow up Skype session. This isn’t mandatory; it’s simply for those who want a bit more time asking questions they couldn’t ask during the workshop, or one they just thought of when they got home!
